How a Suction Blast Cabinet Works

Operating as a suction feed blast system, the Wheelmaster sand blasting machine is designed specifically for wheel refurbishment. Included in the machine is an integrated dust extraction and cyclonic abrasive cleaning system. Unlike a traditional disc sander, the bead blasting process allows for a smooth and even surface to be produced on the surface of the wheel. The Wheelmaster sand blasting machine allows for precise and localised etching if required, and easily penetrates hard to reach areas of a wheel with the blast media stream.

Other advantages to using a Wheelmaster shot blast cabinet include:

  • Time-efficient cleaning
  • Bring the blast process in-house
  • Easy loading and unloading of wheels
  • Vary suction feed depending on requirements

Unlike a pressure blasting cabinet which uses compressed air to fire media at the surface of a wheel, a suction blasting cabinet creates a vacuum using the Venturi effect. This effect speeds up the particles of the media which are then fired at the surface of the wheel.
