How Does A Fully Automatic Tyre Changer Work?
In fully automatic tyre changers, the back column is operated by a pneumatic piston and is controlled by a foot pedal. The whole column tilts backwards, away from the machine, in order to clean the turntable. The mounting head is on a slide, allowing it to move back and forth, with its height controlled by hand.
Once in position, a simple button press will lock the horizontal and vertical axis of the tyre changer in place. This speeds up the removal and fitting of tyres of the same size. The fully automatic tyre changer also features a pneumatic 3-way assist arm, aiding in the fitting and demounting of run flat or low profile tyres.
